| Marriage | | She married Isaac Underwood (1760DE-ca1795KY), son of William Underwood (ca 1733-1801 DE) and Elizabeth Dixon... Between 1985 and 1999, the author of these two sources found something that changed his mind regarding Isaac's father, and finding his wife's name. In the 1985 book, he said: "4298. Isaac Underwood of Mason Co., Ky. (possible son of Reuben #4240);married..." In the 1999 book, he said: "I34 Isaac Underwood of Mason Co., KY (son of William W99), b. 23 Sep 1760 in New Castle Co., DE; he may have married twice(?); m. to Rhoda "Rhody" ___ (she later m. 6 Jun 1796 to Thomas MOORE)..." This 1995 entry is the only thing I've ever found with her name. There has to be something out there that told him her name was Rhoda/Rhody. Interestingly enough, in his separate list of sources, he lists me, though he mis-spells Rhinehart as Phinehart. Unfortunately he doesn't say what source gave what information, and I have no recollection if I had Rhoda's name from some other source in that time period. So, he may have gotten it from some other source. There was a Rhoda Underwood who married Thomas Moore on that date which was shortly after Isaac's death.1,2 |
