| Note* | | Note(s): It is believed Nancy’s second son was named “John” after Nancy’s father John Harrell.1 |
| Note* | | Note(s): Unfortunately, here has never been a complete listing of the children of John Harrell, spouse Abigail Weekly – he died 1837 and the 1840 Shelby Co. census with Abigail Herrol as head of household showed Abigail living with a female b. 1790-1800, 2 males b. 1820-1825, and 1 male b. 1800-1810. This same census indicated there were 3 persons in the household with a “condition” - they were idiotic. In the 1850 census Abigail is shown as head of household with (daughter) Susannah b. abt. 1800 (idiotic) and (son) Isaac b. abt. 1821 (idiotic); a 3rd “idiotic” person was not identified. Living a few houses away is James E. Harrell who is believed to be the son of Abigail’s daughter Susannah – James E. Harrell had a daughter named Nancy A. Harrell. If Nancy Ann Harrell 1796 were a daughter of John/Abigail Harrell, she would not have been listed with her parents in any census following her marriage in 1815..1 |
