| Obituary |
12 November 1968 |
Richard Dwane (sic) Ash, 43, of 1475 Palm Terrace, Pasadena, Calif. died Nov. 7, at his home following a heart attach (sic). He was born at West Union, Aug. 10, 1925, a son of the late Tillman E Ash and Mrs Estella Ferrel Ash of Weston, who survives. Also surviging are his widow, Virginia Reed Ash, fourth step-daughters, gwendolyn, Kathry, Susan an Bonnie, and one stepson, William: one (sic) sister; Mrs. harry L. (Betty) Underwood, Weston and Mrs Norman G. (Eleanor Rhinehart, Altadena, Calif. Mr Ash was a member of the Latter Day Saints Church at Pasadena. He was a veteran of World War II. The above obit has several points to be corrected. Cause of death was suicide, but since his mother had not been told that fact, it was reported as a heart attack. His middle name is misspelled, and there were the two sisters. Uncle Duane joined the LDS church but never followed through with attendance or any other interest in it, or any other church attendance. |
