Residence 8 April 1884 Roodhouse, Greene Co., Illinois, He was in Roodhouse, Greene, Illinois 8 Apr 1884 (he signed stmt then), for 3-4 years per Argos in pension Sep 1892. (Argos was also Adm when daughter Anna died.) On 19 Mar 1998 I sent letter to Hist/Gen Soc to ask why he might have been there. I got back a letter saying "The only Wamsley we have on James Knox Wamsley, I am sending it on to you." What they sent is a "verdict of jury" in the matter of the inquisition on the body of James Knox Wamsley deceased, held at Carrolton on 21 Mar 1885 (verdict was an embolism, so natural causes). Could James be his father's brother?

Lydia Gronendyke widow of Nicholas Gronendyke one of the sons of James Gronendyke comes and files her petition in her behalf to wit (here insert) which being heard it is ordered by the court that the Guardian of the Estate of said heirs of Nicholas Gronendike in consideration of the maintainance etc of the heirs of the said Nicholas by the said Lydia their mother do pay to her the amout of the rents of their real estate now in his hands and that from time to time as other rents accrue to them that he in like manner pay to the same the same to the said Lydia until the further order of this court.
