Marriage Mary Jane Gearan; Try 1st marriage in Buncombe or Mecklenburg Co NC, as possibly he made same migration as his mother. Note son Wm born NC 1841/2 then by 1843/4 they were in GA.1

He died in Arkansas in 1886. His first wife was Mary Jane Garron (spelling?) and his second wife was Naomi (?). John had four children by his first wife, Hannah Rebecca, Wm. I came across your web site in my search for my ggg grandfather, William Alexander Price. I was trying to find archive records of his service in the War of 1812.
You have his family tree on your site but there are questions as to his children. He died in the 1830's and had 6 children:
1. Sarah Price - born 1818
2. John Alexander Price - born Aug. 21, 1820 (my great great grandfather)
3. Mary Frances Price - born Nov. 16, 1822 or 23
4. James Thornton Price - born April 11, 1825
5. Temperence Caroline Price - born April 15, 1829
6. Washington Downs Price - born July 14, 1832
You question as to how these children could be born to William because you have his date of death of 1825? I am in direct correspondence with a descendant of Temperence Caroline Price who was born in 1829.

I was born in Springdale, Washington County, Arkansas, My father is Paul Brooks SEARCY and his father is James Shore SEARCY, who died when my father was 5 years old. My father was raised by his grandfather William Osburn Chastain SEARCY (my Great Grandfather). My father was legally adopted by his grandfather who died when my father was 17. William Osburn Chastain SEARCY 's mother was Temperance Caroline PRICE.(my 2nd great grandmother) born 15 April 1829 possibly in North Carolina. I was thrilled to hear you have a picture of Temperance Caroline PRICE please find attached 5 pictures of Temperance Caroline PRICE.
