Children's names per Mindy and Phil Ralston - pmral@earthlink.net (desc of Perry). I have made this observation to her: "I don't know where I got the last name of Buck for Mary, and don't recall if her being a wife was my assumption or if I got it from someplace else. However, since there is no mention of Nancy Jane in the Bible, and you said she is alone in 1880, and there is another possible wife, I would go look in the civil records for Doddridge, Harrison, and Wetzel counties to see if there is a divorce and remarriage." |

Bible transcript says "Mahaney born Jan the 13, 1851. dead. 4 children". Doesn't give date of death. Implication is that she died as a Mahania (death line) or Mahaney (other line). I had the date of 25 Mar 1910 for death. Did I get that from tombstone (believe so)? If not, where?
Bertha (Mrs Charles) Ash told her granddaughter Janet Ash (Rt 5 Box 61-A Minden LA 71005 in 1984) that while fording a stream, there was a flash flood. Abraham had daughters Zula & Missouri in arms while Elizabeth held on to him. Janet's letter then says that "she lost her grip on Abraham and drown". Something is wrong about this, because both Abraham and Elizabeth married again. They had to have divorced, so that record needs to be found.1 |
